What have the R4U Team been up to? Spotlight: Alex Armstrong

The period since the election has seen lots of exciting developments within the R4U Team -We now have councillors throughout the district on all four levels (Parish, Town, District and County), and our support team have been planning for what happens next. In this series of posts, we provide you with a snapshot of what our familiar R4U faces have been up to, which committees and groups they attend and what issues they are tackling.

Committee seat/responsibilities (if applicable): Planning, Finance and Policy

Ward/community/location: Great Dunmow

Main issues tackling: Traffic, footpaths, Town business promotion

Main challenges ahead: Promotion of Town as a destination for shopping, parking, footpaths, Tourist information.

Successes to date: Letters in Broadcast creating a dialogue about footpaths, securing part funding of Christmas lights. First Town Team meeting open to all business and free. Working with Town Team in Saffron Walden.

Examples of collaborative working: Promoting the new web site for Great Dunmow, working with the Gardens of Little Easton, The Maltings and 48 other businesses.
