Sparrows End Roadworks moved to 1/2 Term – John Lodge

I wanted to provide an update to residents about the major utility works that will shortly close the B1052 at Sparrows End Hill for 9 days. Frankly I have been as appalled as many residents are about the lack of coordination and forethought by the County Council and utility company on this issue, particularly since it is a lifeline route for the town. Since I found out about it I have been lobbying ECC hard on residents’ behalf. I am happy to say that they have now instructed the utility contractor to shift the works back 10 days later so that it coincides with school 1/2 term. This will help minimise the disruption. I am now pushing them to do a better job on an HGV route and signage.
