Bio: Cllr Sarfraz Anjum (Saffron Walden Town Council Shire Ward)

Sarfraz Anjum is a successful local businessman who has been an Uttlesford resident for 30 years. He is a former mayor and has valuable experience of local council issues, having served the community as an elected Councillor for more than 10 years. He is a keen supporter of local charities and enterprise.

He is standing in the forthcoming local elections to fight for the best interests of the residents of Uttlesford. He wants to bring about a positive change for the community, including better use it taxpayers’ money and a local government that has a clearer and more transparent operation.

Sarfraz believes that the Westminster based parties have ignored the views of local residents and have pushed forward a national agenda which is out of touch with Uttlesford. He wants to remove unnecessary politics from the Council and replace it with an overriding objective to put the residents’ interest first.

Sarfraz was re-elected to the Saffron Walden Town Council in 2015 for the Shire Ward.
