Hi Oliver,

Essex Highways are responsible for maintenance. It is a public byway. There have been several meetings and Essex agreed a 10 point action plan for the area, I suspect little of which will have been done. Judy Emanuel on the parish council is the expert. Their interactive map has always been wrong and requests to correct it have been ignored.

Suggest do it by phone.I've found the phone people very helpful (and easier than using the online system)

If you get nowhere, then suggest log against the nearest location it will accept, which will be Bury Water Lane.

I will have another go at getting the map corrected

Neil,

In relation to whiteditch Lane please could you advise as how to notify Essex highways / Uttlesford that the lane is in need of repair.

The Essex highways interactive map notes this road is not Essex's responsibility and therefore the ability to query or raise issues is inhibited.

Kind regards
