This underlines exactly what we have known or strongly suspected for a very long time. Nothing is being done for any community at all, despite the lies, fairy stories and promises we have heard from Gateway120 ever since they worked out this nasty little scheme. The one and only motive is money, lots of it, for a few. They dont give a Tinkers cuss for the well being of anyone else. The fact that their plans are obviously totally unworkable in so many ways, yet STILL, we have Councillors and others poring over them instead of consigning them to the rubbish bin. They know the A120 cant cope, but they tell us it will be updated, they cant possibly know that, it could be another twenty years before its even thought about. Trains cant cope, but there is no sign at all that anything will be done about that. The waffle of “Dont worry, we will build offices and workshops so people will be able to find jobs locally” is Enid Blyton stuff, the majority of new people will commute to London, thats a fact. Not one single amenity locally is enough to serve the people who live here already, to add another possibly 150,000 people to that melting pot is ludicrous.
