The Conservative district councillors in Dunmow and the south of the district have been particularity quiet…we are surprised as we’re sure their constituents are concerned with Dunmow nearly doubling and taking a quarter or all new homes – or 40% if you add the western extension to the town which is proposed described as a ‘new settlement’

Where is the road infrastructure to cope with this mount of new housing; where are the schools, medical practices, etc.? To use a rather old-fashioned phrase, ‘it’s all my eye and Betty Marin’! These are just numbers on a spreadsheet that will shortly be seen to be totally impracticable. These proposals will rouse the anger of everyone in the south of the district. Why aren’t our local councillors speaking out on our behalf?
