BBC News Look East cover the impact of the closure of the Friends/Walden School

The Friends/Walden School is an important site for education and sports in Saffron Walden. It has announced that it is closing and it will be sorely missed. The parents are working on a rescue plan and we wish them luck. However if that falls through you may have read in the local papers that we’ve asked it to be considered to be taken over as a state school to fill the chronic school places shortage in the north of Uttlesford.
