There is no mains drainage down there and on a hot day parts of the lane stink, it will become a congested smelly little no go area. Newport is already developing along the main round towards Saffron Walden to the detriment of the country side and the road. Huge areas of housing have been allowed around the school and further up Water Bury Lane towards the M11, which makes the little lanes very congested especially at school time. To build more in Newport is just geed on the part of developers and those selling the land.
