Election may be over, but campaigning for residents continues…

I’d like to thank everyone in Clavering Ward who voted for me and, for those that didn’t, their time if we met and had a discussion. I have to say that, as someone who’s never done anything like this before, I thoroughly enjoyed meeting so many residents and talking to them about the issues that concern them. It gave me an opportunity to explain what R4U is all about and what we’re trying to achieve.

In doing so I was rewarded with comments including:-
“Thanks for knocking on my door.”
“You’re doing a wonderful job.”
“You’ve definitely got my vote.”
“Keep up the good work.”
“I’m glad I opened the door to you.”
“I like what I hear.”

That makes it all worthwhile and simply confirms that R4U has the right approach to tackling – and delivering – the improvements that residents want to see.

But don’t think that that’s the end of it. There are a number of important planning matters that will be coming to the fore in the near future and, having met so many of you and knowing what you think, I share your views and fully intend to take the opportunity to speak out in an attempt to influence the outcome.

If there’s anything else that you think I might be able to help with, then do please get in touch at alan.storah@residents4u.org
