Amanda Brown and her husband Ian have lived in Uttlesford for 34 years where they have brought up their three children, who have now flown the nest.
Amanda has a strong sense of community which has led to involvement with many charities and interest groups. She’s been a Parish and Town Councillor, and a Clerk to Great Easton Parish Council and is a Trustee for the Alexia Wilson Trust. She can also be found cooking at the Dunmow Day Centre as the relief cook and during school holidays works with the Papworth Trust, providing support to young people with learning difficulties. She is currently a Great Dunmow Town Councillor.
After 10 years working in the Security & Compliance Office as an Account Manager at Stansted Airport for BAA in 2010 she went to University to study Accounting & Finance and balances this with a passion for cooking and a founder of a local book club.
