R4U’s Cllr Neil Reeve, who heads up the Uttlesford District Council portfolios for the local economy and business said “Our administration at UDC has approved a £40k grant scheme to help local businesses better use the internet to gain and retain customers. The grants of up to £2,500 per business can be used to improve websites, media platforms and e-commerce. It is part of our commitment for a local post-pandemic business recovery programme.”

Cllr Reeve added “We have all experienced how the pandemic has permanently changed how we use the internet research and shop. While many of our local businesses have already adapted – such as online ordering for local restaurants and takeaways – there is more that many Uttlesford businesses can and want to do. These grants can help them boost what they do online. Local business can find out more by searching ‘digital boost for business’ on the UDC website.”
