Great Dunmow resident and Uttlesford District Councillor Alex Armstrong has passed away this week.
Petrina Lees of Residents for Uttlesford, who is also Leader of Uttlesford District Council, said “It is with great of sadness that we announce the passing of our dear colleague Alex Armstrong. Alex was a founding councillor of R4U from 2015, and a valued friend. Since then he has represented the residents of Dunmow North district ward and town ward, served as the Vice Chair of UDC, and on the management team of R4U.
Alex was passionate about creating the best for where he lived, serving as a Chamber of Commerce chairman, vice chair of the Dunmow Town Centre Economic Team, and worked as part of the team that opened up the Flitch Way.
We will miss his sense of humour, warm smile, and can-do work ethic. Our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues. He will be hugely missed by those that knew him.”
